Cassandra Smith currently serves as the Diversity & Inclusion in Clinical Trials Lead, at Janssen Research & Development, LLC, part of the Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson.  In this role, she leads efforts to advance Janssen’s diversity and inclusion in clinical trial trials strategy.  Prior to this role, Cassandra was Associate Director, Patient Engagement Strategies, within Janssen R&D.  In this position, Cassandra led efforts to optimize the Informed Consent experience for clinical study participants, including co-creating the IC document with patients and scaling electronic Informed Consent for broader use within Janssen R&D studies.  Cassandra holds a BS in General Science/Biology from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University.
